MONDAY REPORT

Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a fabulous first day of the week. Do you realise that we’re almost halfway thru the month already??? It’s amazing how quick time flies.

I don’t have much sewing progress to report today. I mainly worked on securing my Dresden Houses in place. I have secured all the roofs and the dark doors and windows. I’m working on securing the light doors and windows in place now. I am really enjoying working on this small piece.

The light wasn’t any better yesterday but I did manage to get a shot of last week’s Quilts for Comfort finish …..

The pink and grey bubble quilt was collected this morning to be delivered to the hospital. This is how it looked when it escaped thru my front door …..

Look what I received today. For the last couple of years, I have made an effort to keep flowers in the house at all times but recently I have been more lax about it. Flowers seem to cheer a room up. So, when these arrived I was rather grateful. Thank you to Sandra and David for the lovely bouquet.

So, that’s my report for today. It feels a little light but it’s a little news. I’m hoping to prep the new blocks I designed last week for my Moving Forward quilt project this week. I have so many tasks listed on my To-Do List but there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day not to mention energy. The best thing to do is keep breathing and everything will fall in place. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching.

    1. Hi Grammie, the flowers are such a nice treat. They cheer up a room nicely on a dreary winter’s day. I’m hoping for a bit of sunshine today. Thanks for popping in x

  3. The pink & grey bubble quilt is lovely (nearly put gum on the end of bubble-whoops) & I’m sure will be well received. Very thoughtful & generous. The dresden houses look great & as for those flowers, I’m surprised by such pretty flowers now at the end of your winter. BTW, is that Ginger Snap for the quilting? Have a good week & take care.

    1. Hi Susan, I do believe the quilting design on the bubble quilt is Bubble Meander by Vickie Malaski. I couldn’t resist using that design because it was in keeping with the circles which I appliqued on different parts of the quilt top. Thanks for popping in and have a fabulous week Susan x

  4. Hello Lucie,
The finished quilt is perfect, a really nice design, too. This will be quite a surprise for the recipient and will be loved dearly. Good for you. I am proud to know you, even as much as I do. Was it your birthday???? Beautiful bouquet. Flowers change the space in a room in so many ways. Lucky girl!!!!
    Have a nice evening,
    Joanna. xx

    1. Hi Nicola, receiving flowers is always a treat. It brightens a room nicely. The circle quilt turned out better than I thought it would. It sort of evolved as I went along. I must really make notes of what I did so I can replicate it if I ever need to make another quilt in a hurry. Thanks for popping in Nicola x
