DAY 29 MESSING AROUND CHALLENGE

Hello my lovelies. I hope you’re all having a fabulous day. It’s been another very interesting day. I seem to be getting my spark back as I accept the new normal. Everyday is getting better and better. The more I immerse myself in the new normal the better I feel. For anyone who has accepted the new normal, give it a go and see what happens.

It’s Wednesday, the hump of the week. Most days I don’t know what day it is or what I’m suppose to be doing. I found that just going with the flow has helped me to build some kind of routine in these strange times. The To-Do Lists have gone out the window and I do what needs doing on any given day. It’s quite liberating really.

So, it’s day 29 of my self-imposed messing around with art supplies challenge. I am amazed that I’m still going with it! This is my effort for today …..

Once again, I have kept it quite simple. It’s a simple case of layering, that’s all. Looking at my two-page spread now, it looks like a work palette that needs to be discarded. It was quite fun to work on as I just let go and created it step by step.

I am slowly but surely making progress on my hexagon quilt. I have almost finished joining up the panel which will square off one side of the quilt top. That will leave one more side to deal with and I can add a plain border to square it up ready for quilting. I feel a nice sense of accomplishment already and it isn’t even finished yet.

Hexie progress

Well, my friends, I guess that’s my report for today. It’s been a good one. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something that gives you a sense of accomplishment. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching and messing around with art supplies.

  1. Now that was an interesting page layout & reminded me of a desk laid out with internal workings for a watch or small clock waiting to be fixed. I like it anyway. The quilt is coming along a treat. I rarely know what day it is either, but I’m missing little jaunts into the countryside or to the coast & seeing plentiful wildlife we don’t get in our garden except our birds which do keep me amused & I wouldn’t be without them. Take care, stay safe & hugs from down under.

    1. Hi Susan, I know it’s hard to stay at home in order to be well. Your countryside outing will soon be on your weekly schedule. I’m so glad that the limited wildlife in your garden still manages to amuse you. What would we do without our gardens???? I for one am very grateful for my little garden. Thanks for popping in today. Stay home and be well xx
